Who We Are
The Children's School, Inc. of Vernon, Sussex County, New Jersey is one of the finest Pre-school Learning Centers, Nursery schools, Child Care and Day Care Centers and Summer Camps in Northern New Jersey, serving Greater Sussex, Vernon, NJ and Warwick, Orange County, NY.
Accreditations and Memberships:
- Licensed by the State of New Jersey since 1967, as an Early Childhood Education Center.
- A Member of the Coalition of Infant/Toddler Educators (CITE).
- A Member of the New Jersey School-Age Child Care Coalition (NJSACC).
What We Do
We make growing up FUN! Our play school setting is one which is inviting and offers a warm and loving environment.
Open all year, the Children's School offers:
- Summer Camps with Pools available (June - August).
- An Early Childhood Education Program (September - June).
- Full and part-time programs available to fit you and your children's schedule.
- Geared for infants, toddlers, nursery school, pre school, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten ages.
- Summer Day Camps, Swim Lessons, Field Trips, Arts and Crafts.
- Nutritious breakfast, snacks and lunch are prepared and provided on the premises.

Conveniently located for Sussex County, NJ and Orange County, NY residents, the Children's School is located on five park-like acres in the heart of Vernon's rolling hills.
Our facility was built specifically as a school and with the needs of the child foremost in our minds.
Our classrooms are all large and spacious, each one equipped with bathroom facilities. Each classroom opens onto a lush green playground area which is designed age appropriately.
